Mr. Manpreet Singh

President

Mr. Manpreet Singh was raised in Sri Karanpur, Sri-Ganganagar, Rajasthan, where limited resources inspired his passion for education, literature, and art. He completed his Master’s degree and PhD from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and has dedicated his career to teaching, research, and cultural development.

A passionate advocate for literature and the arts, he contributed to the SAARC Literary Festival (2012–2021) and has worked extensively in literary translation. Along with his wife, artist Anu Arora, he founded an art academy in New Delhi, creating a vibrant space that nurtures creativity and artistic expression among young learners.

Through Savaaya, Mr. Singh is committed to empowering underserved communities by promoting education, art, culture, and equal opportunities, believing that creativity and knowledge are powerful catalysts for social change.

Dr. Abhinav Aggarwal

Vice President

Dr. Abhinav Aggarwal is a leading cardiologist with extensive experience in patient care and medical education. He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from UCMS & GTB Hospital and a DM in Cardiology from Safdarjung Hospital & VMMC, New Delhi.

He has served as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Safdarjung Hospital, where he specialized in advanced cardiovascular care, coronary interventions, and heart disease management. His approach combines clinical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered treatment.

As Vice President of Savaaya, Dr. Aggarwal supports the organization’s mission to improve healthcare access and promote preventive health awareness. He is committed to strengthening community health initiatives and creating a healthier, more equitable society.

Dr. Shruti Bhattacharya

Secretary

Dr. Shruti Bhattacharya is an accomplished Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon. She completed her MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology) from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, and earned a Master of Surgery (Clinical Ophthalmology) with Distinction from The University of Edinburgh as a Pyott Scholar.

She has served as a Senior Resident at Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi, and is currently associated with Visitech Eye Hospital, Delhi. Her expertise includes retinal diseases, vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, and comprehensive eye care.

As Secretary of Savaaya, Dr. Bhattacharya supports the organization’s healthcare and community initiatives with a focus on preventive care, awareness, and improving access to quality eye health services for underserved communities.

Ms. Anu Arora

Joint Secretary

Ms. Anu Arora is a visual artist and art educator with over two decades of experience in fine arts and creative education. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Kurukshetra University and has contributed to the field through research, teaching, and artistic practice. Her work has been recognized with a National Award for her contribution to art.

She has served as an art educator in schools and at Arpana Fine Arts Gallery, while actively participating in national and state-level art camps and exhibitions. Currently, she serves as a government educator with the Haryana Education Department, where she continues to inspire creativity and learning among young minds.

As the Joint Secretary of Savaaya, Ms. Arora brings together art, education, and social responsibility to empower communities. She believes that creativity is a powerful tool for learning, inclusion, and positive social change, and is dedicated to using art as a catalyst for community development.

Ms. Gayatri Kaur

Treasurer

Ms. Gayatri Kaur is an engineer, educator, and national-level air pistol shooter with a strong commitment to education and community service. She holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, a Post-Graduate Diploma from DIAT, Pune, and an M.Tech from Gautam Buddha University after securing 96 percentile in GATE. She has also contributed to scientific research through published work in the field of biotechnology.

She is the founder of Gayatri’s Tutorials in New Delhi, where she mentors students in Mathematics and Science. Alongside her teaching career, she co-runs Guns of Nation, a shooting academy dedicated to training aspiring shooters for national-level competitions.

As the Treasurer of Savaaya, Ms. Gayatri Kaur combines her passion for education with her commitment to social impact. Having volunteered to teach underprivileged children from a young age, she continues to work towards expanding access to quality education and empowering underserved communities through knowledge and opportunity.

Dr. Harshdeep Singh

Board Member

Dr. Harshdeep Singh is a dedicated urologist committed to advancing quality healthcare through compassionate and patient-centered care. He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, followed by an MS from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and an MCh in Urology from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Government Medical College, Amritsar, where he is actively involved in developing urological services while mentoring future medical professionals. His approach to healthcare emphasizes the physical, emotional, and overall wellbeing of every patient.

As a Member of Savaaya, Dr. Harshdeep Singh supports initiatives focused on improving healthcare access, spreading health awareness, and strengthening community wellbeing. He believes that accessible, compassionate healthcare is essential to building healthier and more empowered communities.

Dr. Apeksha Mittal

Board Member

Dr. Apeksha Mittal is a distinguished Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon dedicated to advancing quality healthcare and improving access to specialized medical services. She completed her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, followed by MS and MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

She has served as an Assistant Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi, and currently contributes to the development of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery services at Government Medical College, Amritsar. Her professional journey reflects a commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care.

As an Member of Savaaya, Dr. Mittal is passionate about extending healthcare beyond hospital walls. She supports initiatives that promote health awareness, improve access to quality medical care, and empower underserved communities through education, outreach, and sustainable social development.
